Welcome to my webpage.

Grade Calculations.

Grades in all of my classes are based upon a weighted average. Your grade will depend upon how well you demonstrate your ability to learn how to do the problems assigned to you.
Regular assignments that can be taken home will comprise 10% of the quarter grade average.
In class assignments will also comprise 15% of the quarter grade average.
Quarter exams will comprise 5% of the quarter grade average. The quarter exams in all Algebra 2 classes will mimic the ACT math test as a means of getting students practiced and ready for that.
Quizzes will comprise 20% of the quarter grade average.
Tests will comprise 50% of the quarter grade average.

Classroom Rules of Mr. Frost

1. Be responcible.

Demonstrate that by getting yourself into class on time, completing your homework assignments, and bringing the things like pencils, books, and calculators that you need with you.

2. Be respectful
Demonstrate this by treating the people in this classroom with respect and expecting the same from them. Respect the property of all people. Respect class time and regular procedures and practices.

3. Pay attention.
I will inform you in clear language as to what is expected and how to accomplish tasks, but you must pay attention to know what it is I have said. Also pay close attention to the questions your classmates ask since those questions often will reveal common misconceptions about the subject under discussion.

4. Follow the instructions.

Instructions will be provided not only to educate and inform but also to help provide a safe environment for you to learn in. To promote learning, please follow the instructions without delay.

5. Do not do anything which interferes with my teaching or would tend to interfere with somebody else learning.

When I deem it appropriate I will remind you of the rules. If the friendly reminders have no effect I will assign detention. If the detentions do not have the needed effects on your behavior, then I will have to refer you to Mr. Gebhardt. Also, at any time, I may feel the need to contact your parents.
